Things to note about Glorious City Mars
To ensure normal installation and use, we have the following precautions. We hope you will read them carefully:
1. It is not recommended to set the Mars installation directory and workspace directory path under the system disk;
2. The Mars installation directory and workspace directory path do not currently support installation in directories containing Chinese;
3. Do not use spaces or special symbols in the Mars installation directory and workspace directory paths;
4. The Mars installation directory and workspace directory path cannot be installed in the root directory of the disk;
5. The Mars installation directory and workspace directory paths need to be set in different empty directory folders;
6. It is recommended that the Mars installation directory and workspace directory path disk contain more than 40G of free hard disk space;
7. Mars2020 supports importing MPX projects of Mars2018, and downloading projects uploaded by Mars2018 to the exclusive cloud;
Note: Project files imported into Mars2020 need to be exported with the latest version of Mars2018, otherwise model loss may occur. If the project file is not uploaded or exported with the latest version of Mars2018, please first use Mars2018 to open the project and save it, then upload it to the dedicated cloud or export the mpx project file and then import it into Mars2020.
8. Currently, Mars supports importing model files in .skp, .fbx, .3dm and .dae formats;
9. If you need to change the computer system or change the computer for project production, please be sure to back up the project data, otherwise the project data information may be lost. There are three backup methods, which you can choose according to your needs:
A. Upload the project to the dedicated cloud, and then download it from the dedicated cloud. If you are prompted whether to overwrite when uploading, please right-click the project to back up (see Quick Start - Client Introduction for details on how to back up the project), and then upload the backup generated copy of the project;
B. Archive the MPX file exported by right-clicking the project, and then import it into Mars as needed;
C. Archive and copy the DLC folder in the workspace directory and installation directory to a sufficient hard disk space outside the computer system disk. When installing Mars, specify the corresponding copied workspace directory folder as the new workspace directory, and also move the DLC folder to the installation directory (for details, please see the Quick Start - Workspace Directory section).
10. In order to avoid the loss of project progress due to emergencies such as power outages, computer failures, etc., in the first step of project production, first confirm the option - the save interval of automatic backup, and turn on the automatic backup function.
