CPUZ software features
Comprehensive support
CPU-Z supports a comprehensive range of CPU types.AMDSempron, Athlon and other series, INTERGalloping, Cy Young and other series.
Start quickly
The CPU-Z software startup speed and detection speed are very fast. Users can quickly start detection through CPU-Z and understand their CPU performance at any time.
Powerful
CPU-Z can detect detailed information about the motherboard and memory, such as memory dual-channel detection function, etc. It can accurately detect hardware information such as CPU, motherboard, memory, graphics card, SPD, etc. You can also see the brand of your CPU, internal frequency, Cache and other data often mentioned by players, as well as SelfSnoop, CMOVccInstruction and other data, so that you can better understand your CPU.
CpuZ function introduction
*Identify the type and name of the processor.
*Detect the core frequency and multiplication index of the CPU.
*Detect the core voltage of the processor.
* Overclocking possibility detection (indicates whether the CPU is overclocked, but it is not necessarily completely correct).
* Detect the instruction set supported by the processor.
* Detect processor primary and secondary cache information, including cache location, size, speed, etc.
* Detect some information on the motherboard, including BIOS type, chipset type, memory capacity, AGP interface information, etc.
CpuZ installation steps
1. Download the Cpu-Z software package from Huajun Software Park, unzip the compressed package, and double-click with the left mouse button to open the installation file.
Note: To decompress the compressed package, you need to use a compression and decompression tool. WinRAR is recommended because the technology is mature and reliable. WinRAR download address:http://softwaredownload4.com/soft/5.htm
2. Enter the installation program, first read the software-related license agreement, if you have no objection, click to select "I accept the agreement" on the lower left, and then click "Next".
3. Click "Browse" to select the installation directory of Cpu-Z. It is not recommended to install it on the C drive. If there are too many files on the C drive, it will affect the running speed of the computer. After selecting, click "Next".
4. Click "Browse" to select the Cpu-Z start menu folder. Under normal circumstances, keep the default selection, and then click "Next".
5. After confirming that the installation information is correct, click the "Install" button below to start the installation.
6. After the installation is completed, it will automatically jump to the installation completion interface. You can check "View cpuz_readme_cn.txt" to view the software-related content, and finally click the "Finish" button below.
How to use CpuZ
1. Open the installed Cpu-Z, and you can see a series of data related to the computer processor in the first "Processor" tab, including voltage, speed, etc.
2. After switching to the "Motherboard" tab, you can see the model, chip and other information of the motherboard used.
3. In the "Memory" tab, you can see the memory type, size, frequency and other information.
4. In the "Graphics Card" tab, the brand, model and existing information of the graphics card will be displayed.
CpuZ FAQ
How does cpu-z perform processor performance testing?
1. Open Cpu-Z, switch to the "Test Score" tab, and then click the "Test Processor Score" button below to start testing.
2. After waiting for a while, the test results will be available at the top.
How to adjust CPU-Z to Chinese
After opening CPU-Z, click the menu (or settings icon) in the upper right corner, find the "Language" option, select "Chinese (Simplified)" in the drop-down list, save the settings to switch to the Chinese interface.
CPU-Z basic viewing method
After opening CPU-Z, the software will automatically identify the hardware information, which is mainly displayed through the top tabs:
CPU label: displays processor model, number of cores, number of threads, main frequency, cache and other core information;
Memory label: displays memory capacity, type, frequency, number of channels, etc.;
Motherboard label: includes motherboard model, chipset, BIOS version, etc.;
Graphics tab: Displays graphics card related parameters;
SPD tag: You can view the detailed timing, manufacturer and other information of a single memory.
How to read CPU production date in CPU-Z
CPU-Z usually does not directly display the CPU production date. If you need to query, you can use the number on the surface of the CPU (such as Intel's S-Spec code, AMD's OPN code) and enter the number on the corresponding brand's official website; or you can infer it indirectly through the motherboard BIOS information, but you need to combine external tools, and CPU-Z itself does not have this function.
How does CPU-Z check the quality of the CPU?
In the "CPU" or "Voltage" related tabs of CPU-Z (some versions are on the "Battery" page), check the CPU core voltage: at the same frequency, the lower the voltage, the better the physical performance (more energy-saving, stronger overclocking potential); otherwise, the physical performance is average. Generally, it is normal for mainstream processors to have a stable voltage of around 1.2V under full load.
How to check memory frequency in CPU-Z
In the "Memory" tab, find the "DRAM Frequency" parameter, which is the actual operating frequency of the memory (for DDR4/DDR5 and other types, due to the double data rate, the equivalent frequency needs to be multiplied by 2, for example, the DRAM frequency is 1600MHz, the equivalent frequency is 3200MHz).
How does CPU-Z read memory timings?
On the "SPD" tab (you need to select a specific memory slot), you can view detailed timing parameters, including:
CL (CAS Latency): column address strobe delay;
tRCD: row-to-column delay;
tRP: line precharge time;
tRAS: row activation time.
The smaller the values of these parameters, the faster the memory response.
How to read graphics card parameters in CPU-Z
Switch to the "Graphics" tab to view key parameters such as graphics card model, core code, video memory capacity, video memory type, core frequency, and video memory frequency.
How does CPU-Z view dual channel memory?
In the "Memory" tab, check the "Number of Channels" parameter. If "Dual Channel" is displayed, it means the memory is working in dual channel mode; if "Single Channel" or "Inactive" is displayed, it is single channel mode. Dual-channel mode requires consistent memory capacity and frequency, and must be inserted into the corresponding channel slot (usually the same color slot).
Comparison of CpuZ similar software
GPU-Z
GPU-Zis a utility that provides video card and GPU information. GPU-Z also supports one-click testing of computer graphics cards, which is green and safe. You can automatically query various parameters of the graphics card with one click. The result page of GPU-Z inspection is also very simple and clear, making it easy to grasp various information parameters of the graphics card. GPU-Z is free for personal and commercial use.
