How to use the universal PE toolbox

Step 1: Make a USB boot disk

​​ 1. Download the universal peU disk boot creation tool from Huajun Software Park to your computer. (You can download it to your computer desktop so you can find it easily!)

​​ 2. Run the software. For Windows 7/8/10 systems, please right-click and run as administrator.

​​ 3. Insert a removable device such as a U disk/SD card, and the drive letter, model, capacity and other information of all removable disks in the current computer will be automatically listed in the disk list. Click the one-click button to create a USB boot disk (note that making a USB boot disk will delete all data in the USB disk)

The production process will take different lengths of time depending on the computer configuration and USB flash drive chip, so please be patient. In order to verify whether the USB boot creation is successful, you can run a simulated boot. Note: The simulated boot is only for testing whether the USB disk boot is successful and cannot be used to test the internal DOS and PE systems.

Step 2: Copy the Ghost system image package to the GHO folder of the USB flash drive

​​Copy the ISO/GHO file you downloaded to the "GHO" folder of the USB flash drive. If you just reinstall the system disk and do not need to format other partitions on the computer, you can also put the ISO or GHO in a partition other than the system disk of the hard disk.

Step 3: Use the shortcut keys to select the U disk to boot into the general PE main menu

Restart the computer and press the "shortcut key" when the startup screen appears to directly enter the quick boot menu and select the U disk to boot. (Note: After selecting the corresponding menu item through the up (↑) and down (↓) keys of the keyboard, press Enter directly to enter)

Step 4: Install the system

When we use the shortcut keys to select your U disk to boot and enter the universal pe main menu, press the up and down ↑↓ direction keys to select "[01] Run universal PE U disk Win10PE (X64) UEFI version (preferred)" and then press the "Enter key" to enter the universal pe Win10PE system, as shown below:

​ ​ ②After selecting "[01] Run universal PE U disk Win10PE (X64) UEFI version (preferred)", press the key to enter the Win10PE system interface, as shown below:

③After entering the universal PE Win10PE system, if the "Universal PE One-click Installation" tool does not run automatically, we can manually double-click the software to run it! The software will automatically identify the ISO image file (that is, the ISO image package we just downloaded and copied to the GHO folder of the USB flash drive), and automatically extract the GHO file inside. We only need to select the system partition (usually the C drive) and click the "Start" button! As shown in the figure below: (If you have multiple systems, you can choose by yourself)

​ ​ ④When you click the "Start" button, a small window will pop up. We only need to continue to click the "Yes" button of the pop-up window, as shown below:

​ ​ ⑤A window will appear next that is decompressing GHO. The window has a progress bar. We don’t need to do anything at this time. We just need to wait patiently for it to complete, as shown in the figure below:

​ ​ ⑥After the progress bar of decompressing the GHO file is completed, a window will automatically pop up asking whether to restart the computer. Now we only need to click the "Yes" button, and then it will automatically restart the computer. Finally, the computer will automatically install the system until it enters the computer desktop, which means that the ghost system is installed, as shown below:

   How to create a USB flash drive with the official version of Universal PE Toolbox?

Open the official version of the Universal PE Toolbox and insert a USB flash drive/SD card or other removable device. The drive letter, model, capacity and other information of all removable disks in the current computer will be automatically listed in the disk list.

First, select the U disk you want to create through the [Please select] drop-down list, and then click the [One-click creation of bootable U disk] button to start making the U disk boot disk.

Click the one-click production button, and the program will prompt whether to continue. After confirming that the selected U disk has no important data, click Yes to start production. (Note: If the creation of a USB flash drive made with a previous version fails, please try to initialize the USB flash drive before making it.)

The production process will take different lengths of time depending on the computer configuration and USB flash drive chip, so please be patient. After the production is completed, set the computer BIOS correctly (for setting methods, please refer to the tutorial on setting up a USB flash drive) and you can boot from the USB flash drive. In order to verify whether the USB boot creation is successful, you can run a simulated boot. Note: The simulated boot is only for testing whether the USB disk boot is successful and cannot be used to test the internal DOS and PE systems.
