It occupies low resources, is suitable for low-configuration devices, and is simple to install and configure.
Strong scalability
Guest Additions and Extension Packs provide enhanced features such as seamless window mode, USB 3.0 support, 3D graphics acceleration, and more.
Software function
Virtual machine management
Creation and cloning: Supports rapid creation of virtual machines and copies existing virtual machines through the cloning function.
Snapshot and recovery: Can save virtual machine state snapshots and support quick rollback to the previous state.
Import/Export: Compatible with OVF format, convenient for virtual machine migration and sharing.
Hardware emulation
CPU and Memory: Virtual multi-core CPU (up to 32 cores) with support for dynamic memory allocation.
Storage: simulated hard disk (supports dynamic expansion), optical drive, USB device, etc., compatible with VDI, VMDK, and VHD formats.
Graphics card and audio: Provides VESA compatible virtual graphics card, supports 3D acceleration (OpenGL/Direct3D) and WDDM driver (Windows Aero).
Network configuration
Multiple modes: Supports NAT, bridging, host-only, internal network and other modes to adapt to the needs of different scenarios.
Software-defined network (SDN): Complex network policies can be configured, suitable for cluster deployment and testing.
Share and integrate
Clipboard and folder sharing: realize two-way sharing of text and files between the host and the virtual machine.
Remote Desktop (RDP): Supports access to virtual machines through remote protocols.
Seamless window mode: Virtual machine applications can be displayed integrated with the host desktop.
FAQ
Startup failure or blue screen
Cause: The CPU does not have VT-x/AMD-V virtualization technology enabled or conflicts with Hyper-V.
Solution:
Enter the BIOS to enable virtualization technology.
Windows users turn off Hyper-V (via Control Panel - Programs - Turn Windows features on or off).
