How to use
You can use ultraiso to create a USB flash drive as a boot disk. After booting, you can detect bad sectors on the hard disk.
Problems that can be fixed by ScanDisk
1. ScanDisk checks and repairs faults in the following areas:
★File Allocation Table (FAT)
★ File system structure (missing clusters, cross-linked files)
★ Directory tree structure
★ The physical disk surface of the drive (bad cluster)
★DoubleSpace header (MDBPB)
★ DoubleSpace volume file structure (MDFAT)
★DoubleSpace compression structure
★DoubleSpace volume label
★ MS-DOS boot area
2. Drive type
ScanDisk can find and repair the following types of drive failures:
★ Hard drive
★DoubleSpace drive
★ Floppy drive
★ RAM drive
★ Memory card
3. ScanDisk cannot find or repair the following types of drive failures:
★ CD-ROM drive
★ Network drive
★ Drivers created with ASSIGN, SUBST or JOIN commands
