Solutions to the problem of no sound or poor sound quality from IP network cameras
1: If the LINE audio input port is determined, check whether the power supply of the pickup is normal and whether the pickup is connected correctly.
2: First determine whether the network camera audio input is: LINEIN (linear level)
If the above two conditions are confirmed, the sound quality recorded by the network camera is still very blurry or there is no sound?
1: First check the connection method of the pickup audio signal output. Generally, the audio input connector of the network surveillance camera is a 3.5 headphone connector, so the corresponding pickup audio signal line must be converted to a 3.5 headphone connector.
2: It should be noted that although you have connected the 3.5 headphone connector, the 3.5 connector is divided into dual channel and single channel, that is, stereo and mono. Check whether your 3.5 connector is dual channel or single channel.
3: The audio inputs of some current brands of network cameras have both: LINE and MIC inputs, that is to say, an audio input port, which may be the left channel, LINE, or the right channel, is MIC. In this case, the left and right channels cannot be connected to the positive terminal of 3.5 together, and must be connected separately. For example, the negative pole should be connected to the negative pole, and the positive pole should be connected to one of the 3.5 connectors, and then listen to see if the sound is normal. If it is not normal, use another audio cable to connect it. It is not possible to connect the left and right channels in parallel, and it is also forbidden to use a mono 3.5 connector. You must use a dual-channel connector.
The 3.5 connector is an international standard interface. If there are two black wires on the 3.5 headphone connector, it means a dual-channel interface. The two black wires are actually from the insulating ring. The top part of the 3.5 connector is the stereo left channel, the middle part of the insulating ring is the right channel, and the root is the negative electrode, which is the ground. If it is a mono 3.5 connector, on the contrary, you can only see a black insulating ring, that is, the tip is the positive pole and the root is the negative pole!
4: If it is confirmed that it is monophonic, then the positive pole of the pickup should be connected to the positive pole of 3.5, and the negative pole should be connected to the negative pole. If yours is a dual channel, then there will be a three-core wire. The negative pole of the pickup is connected to the negative pole of 3.5, and the positive pole is connected to the other two cores corresponding to the 3.5 connector, which are the left and right channels.
