IP Setting Tool function introduction
1. Select the packet capture network card. Zuolian also has some other packet capture conditions to choose from. If the selected network card does not support the "miscellaneous reception function", the system will prompt the corresponding message. When this happens, you will not be able to obtain data packets unrelated to this network card. In other words, you will not be able to obtain communication packets between other computers. Therefore, it is recommended that you change the network card. Most of the network cards that do not support "miscellaneous reception" are some wireless network cards and a small number of dedicated server/laptop network cards.
2. Protocol filtering
Normally, you can leave this option unchecked unless you are familiar with the protocol type.
3. Set up packet capture buffer
The guaranteed packet capture buffer size is 1M. If the network you want to track is large, you can increase this value appropriately. In addition, if the CPU processing power of the tracking host is insufficient, you also need to increase the buffer size; otherwise, packet loss may occur.
4. IP filtering
In IP filtering, you can set the IP addresses you want to capture packets or set the IP addresses you want to exclude and other information.
5. Port filtering
How to use IP Setting Tool
The official version of IP Setting Tool can be installed in Chinese or English. After installation, you can set the industrial Ethernet IP address.
When "Scan EtherNet/IP Devices" is executed, EthorNet/IP devices whose IP addresses have not been set will be searched.
EthorNot/IP devices with assigned IP addresses cannot be exempted from scanning.
