Curve/Drill 5-Axis
Tool axis control is what separates multi-axis toolpaths from normal surface, chain and point toolpaths. The capabilities of multi-axis drilling become apparent on parts that contain multiple holes with centerlines pointing in different directions. The Curve/Drill 5-Axis is perfect for multi-axis machining, creating high-quality toolpaths while reducing programming time. port expert
Mastercam's Port Expert plug-in creates precise, efficient engine cylinder head porting toolpaths on port surfaces or solid data. It minimizes unnecessary movement on the machine, resulting in efficient tool paths with excellent surface quality. It can also be used on any tubular job with a port-like design. Port Expert uses a tapered lollipop tool and performs collision checking on the entire tool (bar, spindle and shank). Port Expert offers a variety of cutting options. For example, you can cut only the top; cut only the bottom; or specify how much stock to leave in the entire port. Port Expert toolpaths use 3-axis machining to the port whenever possible, then automatically convert to 5-axis motion with minimal tilt. This leaves no fishtails or ineffective reverse moves, and allows for a smooth transition to the toolpath in the middle of the port. Key Features: Port Expert provides roughing and finishing toolpaths to create ports from castings or blanks. Since Port Expert supports unlimited surfaces, geometry can be composed of multiple surfaces. The optimal tilt angle is automatically calculated so there is no need to split the surface or create tool axis control splines. Renishaw Productivity+
Mastercam Productivity+ is an add-on software for Mastercam that allows you to program and simulate Renishaw probes for machine tools. This is the new solution for integrating process control into your CNC program. Productivity+ will perform simple measurements and alignments, allowing you to set up and verify your parts on the machine. This results in better process control and reporting on machine tool performance. Because the Productivity+ program runs entirely on the machine tool, the program forms a self-contained package that operates in exactly the same form each time a part is run. Once programmed, there is no need for an external PC, eliminating potential communications setup issues. Machine tools including 3-, 4- and 5-axis configurations are supported through a variety of post-processors, providing a consistent level of functionality between machine types.
