Video playback freezes
Possible reasons:
Hardware decoding is not supported or settings are incorrect: Stellar Player will try to use hardware decoding first, but if the hardware is not supported or settings are incorrect, it may fall back to software decoding, causing lags.
Renderer plug-in issues: Third-party renderers such as MadVR and SVP may not be able to fully utilize the hardware decoding capabilities of Stellar Player, resulting in high-resolution video stuttering.
The frame insertion function affects performance: The frame insertion function has certain requirements on the performance of the graphics card. If the machine performance is insufficient, it may cause lagging.
The video bit rate is too high or the disk read speed is slow: The video bit rate is too high or the disk read speed is slow, which may also become a bottleneck for lagging.
Solution suggestions:
Check and upgrade the graphics card driver to ensure that hardware decoding is supported.
Try turning off hardware decoding, playing the video using software decoding, or switching back to Stellar's default rendering mode.
Turn off the frame insertion function and observe whether the lagging problem improves.
Copy video files to local SSD or transcode to a lower bit rate before playing.
