Certify software introduction
Manage free https certificates for IIS, Windows and other services
Professional certificate management for Windows, powered by Let's Encrypt

Certify function introduction
Manage certificate domains
Each certificate may cover multiple domains. You can easily add or remove domains from the certificate and automatically populate the domain list from existing website bindings (such as IIS).
Depending on the certificate authority you choose, your certificate can contain a single domain, multiple domains (SAN), or domain wildcards (e.g. *.certifytheweb.com) to cover multiple sites or services.
The certificate authority of your choice
The most common automated certificate authority currently is Let's Encrypt, a free certificate authority (letsencrypt.org). You can also choose from other Choose from ACME (Automated Certificate Management Environment) certificate authorities such as BuyPass Go SSL, DigiCert or a custom certificate authority such as smallstep or Keyon true-Xtender Enterprise PKI).
If desired, each managed certificate can use a different certificate authority, and you can mix production or staging (test) certificates.
Multiple ways to verify your domain
The certificate authority will require you to prove that you control the domain for which you are requesting a certificate (domain validation). The most common methods are via http (renders a specific file on a url on your domain) or DNS (adds specific TXT records to your domain DNS) for automatic challenge responses. The software automatically handles this complex process for you.
Automatic DNS challenge response
Certify The Web supports over 36 different DNS APIs and DNS automation methods (including acme-dns and custom script options). popular DNS providers include Cloudflare, AWS Route53, Azure DNS, and GoDaddy.
If you need a wildcard certificate for your domain, most certificate authorities require you to use the DNS method to verify your domain.
Automatic HTTP challenge response
Our built-in dynamic http challenge server means you can automatically provide http challenge responses to certificate authorities (via port 80) without the need for binding on your website http and will not interrupt normal traffic to your website.
When port 80 is used by a non-http.sys based service (such as Apache httpd), you can fall back to providing the challenge response through your web server.
Based on your requirements, domain verification methods can be mixed as needed within a single certificate order.
Powerful deployment options
Whether you need simple automated deployment to IIS or advanced deployment to other services/servers or remote certificate stores, Certify The Web Both have very powerful options for complex deployments.
Automated deployment
You can have applications automatically update certificates and then automatically deploy them to services that use the certificates (such as IIS websites).
The default automatic deployment will apply your certificate to the applicable IIS website, or you can use the deployment task to apply the latest certificate to a range of other services.
Deployment tasks
Deployment tasks are a powerful way to leverage certificates that you manage through your application. You can deploy and use your certificates in a variety of ways, including:
MS Exchange, Remote Desktop Services
Microsoft Azure Key Vault
Central Certificate Store (CCS) via local or UNC path
Apache, nginx, Tomcat and other services use PEM/CRT/chain certificate files
SFTP and SSH support
Scripts (such as PowerShell or linux shell scripts)
Preview renewal
The Preview tab displays scheduled actions to be performed during the next certificate request or automatic renewal, including:
The fields to be included in the certificate
How domain verification will happen
being applied/updated to the automated website binding (IIS) (if applicable).
Deployment tasks such as installing certificates on MS Exchange, exporting to Apache, nginx, Central Certificate Store (CCS), SSH/SFTP export, etc.
