Function introduction
The LibreOffice package contains 6 major components: word processing (word), spreadsheet (excel), presentation (powerpoint), formula, drawing, and database (access). LibreOffice is not only a combination of six major components, they are not created as independent software modules. From the beginning, it was designed to be a complete office software package.

The Document Foundation announced the release of LibreOffice 6.0, an office software suite. The last major version, LibreOffice 5.0, was released in 2015. The new version introduced a large number of new features to the core engine and various modules, greatly enhancing interoperability with Microsoft Office documents.
Key features include: improved Notebookbar, new gradients, new Elementary icons, menu and toolbar improvements, updated splash screen, and more. Others include: compatibility with EPUB3 format, allowing output of ODT files to EPUB3, support for importing AbiWord, Microsoft Publisher, PageMaker and QuarkXPress documents, support for signing ODF documents with OpenPGP keys, experimental support for OpenPGP-based encryption (requires installation of GPG software) ,etc.
