FAQ
What is the difference between the two annotations in the iMindMap 10 menu?
In order to make it easier for others to understand the mind maps we create, sometimes we need to make some notes. After opening "Insert" in the horizontal menu of iMindMap 10 hand-drawn mind map, we can see two "annotations". Subconsciously, we will feel that they are repeated, but are they really repeated? Now follow the editor to take a look Look!
1. First, we click on “Annotation” near the front, as shown in the figure below:
At this time, the comment panel and edit note window will open on the right side of the interface, as shown in the figure below:
2. According to the prompts in the window, we select a branch and write the text to be written. At this moment, a paperclip-like icon will appear on the corresponding branch. The color of the icon is consistent with the color of the branch. Select the comment icon with the mouse. The content of our annotation will be displayed in the annotation panel on the right, as shown below:
3. Now let’s take a look at the “notes” at the back, as shown in the figure below:
(1) When no branch or topic is selected, the comment is displayed in a gray uneditable state, so we need to select a branch or topic first.
(2) When it becomes editable, we click it, and a comment about the branch immediately pops up. It seems familiar. It is the same as the comment in Word. We can clearly see the time and date of the modification. and the modifiers, as shown below:

Tips
1. Create a central theme and add core content
The starting point of a mind map is the central theme, from which the central theme radiates outward. Open iMindMap and choose to create a blank map to create a central theme. Click on the theme and name it. When selected, you can adjust the font format of the theme. Of course, you can also use templates directly to create maps, but I won’t go into details here.
2. Add branch
Adding branches is the second step in bursting out creativity. The main branches follow the central image. In order to make each branch explore as much as possible, it is necessary to add subtopics. The advantage of mind maps is that new branches can be continuously added. Use the enter key to add a branch, enter the topic name, or use the mouse to drag the new branch icon to add a branch.
3. Add keywords
When adding a branch, the most important thing is to enter the key ideas. An important principle in drawing a mind map is to use one word for each branch. Using keywords to trigger associations in the brain can prompt users to remember large amounts of information. Just click on the topic and enter the keywords.
4. Modify branch color
Color connects vision and logic, helping the brain categorize, emphasize, analyze information and identify more previously undiscovered connections. In iMindMap, every time we add a branch, its color is different. Select the branch, and in the opened branch toolbar and tool window, we can use the corresponding color tools to adjust the branch color.
5. Add images to enrich the map
Images sometimes convey much more information than a word, a sentence, or even an article. They are processed by the brain and used as visual stimulation to help recall information. Images are a universal language that can overcome any language barrier. Click Insert->Image File on the menu to add any local image on your computer.
Finally, just adjust the theme to the appropriate position. The pictures used above are schematic maps and are not complete. The corresponding content needs to be filled in and adjusted according to the corresponding steps.
