"World of Goo 2" is jointly developed by 2D BOY and Tomorrow Corporation. It will be launched on Nintendo Switch and PC (Epic Games Store) on August 2, 2024, and will be launched on Steam, Mac, Linux and mobile versions on April 25, 2025. The game contains 5 chapters and more than 60 levels, and supports simplified Chinese and Japanese voices. Physics and fluid simulation:
Based on a real physics engine, gravity, friction, elasticity and liquid flow are accurately simulated. Structural stability requires consideration of load-bearing distribution and node connection angles. For example, use the viscosity of fluids to put out fires, or explode obstacles to create pathways with explosive balls.
Diversified sticky ball system:
The basic black sticky ball builds the frame, the green ivy ball can climb the wall and connect three nodes, the red balloon ball provides lift, and the catheter ball controls the path of the liquid. Some combinations of spheres trigger chain effects, such as "Archer + Fire Oil" causing area burning.
Multiple branching narratives and hidden endings:
Players can choose to help different tribes (such as the environmentalist Sculptor Gel, the militaristic Steel Legion) to trigger different endings. For example, repairing the sculpture unlocks the environmental ending, and assisting the legion will fall into the reincarnation of war.
Innovative level design:
Chapter 4 introduces three independent routes to explore ejection, gravity control and detective plot gameplay respectively. "World of Goo 17" even breaks away from the goo ball and explores the origins of civilization with pixel-style puzzles.
Collaborate with multiple people across platforms:
The Switch version supports local 4-player cooperation, dividing labor to build fortifications or competing to build the highest tower; the mobile version optimizes drag and zoom for touch screens, retaining the complete plot and levels.

Single player story mode:
Gradually unlock new sticky balls and building functions from basic levels. When completing main tasks (such as repairing ancient ruins and resisting foreign enemies), you need to balance resource investment and strategic planning. For example, use the "City Wall" card to improve defense, and then use "Fireball" to destroy the enemy.
Multiplayer cooperation and competition:
The Switch version supports 2-4 people online to build a "Gel City State" together or compete to build the tallest tower (if the tower collapses, you will fail). In cooperative mode, "symbiotic abilities" can be activated, such as a giant structure that combines flight and ground-burrowing functions.
Puzzle solving strategy depth:
You need to use the sticky ball's properties flexibly, such as using a "spring ball" to span long distances, or using a "magnet ball" to absorb iron structures. Some levels require active changes in the environment, such as exploding obstacles to open new paths.
Creative workshop and community content:
