Android 11 sneak peek: A Google Pixel 2 XL has been upgraded

Author: Zhenting Date: 2020-02-07

According to foreign media reports on February 7, the Pixel 2 XL running Android R (also known as Android 11) was exposed on Twitter.

Foreign media pointed out that the preview version of Android Q was officially launched in March last year. It is speculated that the Android R preview version may be pushed soon.

Details about Android R are currently scarce. There are reports that Android R will improve the dark mode to cover more third-party applications and allow users to adjust the time period for turning on and off dark mode.

Additionally, Google may improve Android R’s Bluetooth experience. It will support Bluetooth sharing of larger files, and Bluetooth will not be turned off when airplane mode is turned on, so that wireless Bluetooth headsets such as Pixel Buds can maintain an uninterrupted connection with Android R models at all times.

It’s worth noting that starting with Android 10, Google has eliminated dessert names. Additionally, Android R will be the last version of Android the Pixel 2 XL receives (it comes with Android O pre-installed).

As usual, Android R will be officially released at the Google I/O conference.
