New version of Android 11 pushed: Google Pixel 4 face unlock bug fixed, screen recording function upgraded

According to news on March 19, Google pushed the second version of Android 11 Developer Preview 2 (hereinafter referred to as Android 11 DP2).

The new version of Android 11 brings two important features, one is face unlock improvements for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, and the other is screen recording.

On Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, Google made a big mistake - unlocking the phone with your eyes closed. When the user is asleep, others can point the phone at the user's face to unlock it.

On Android 11 DP2, Google has improved the face unlock method. It adds a new switch that allows users to unlock the phone only with their eyes open, which makes up for the shortcomings of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.

The second important update is screen recording. The screen recording function of Android 11 DP2 allows audio recording and also strengthens security and privacy reminders. When the user turns on screen recording, the system will prompt the user that screen recording may record sensitive information on the device, including passwords, payment information, photos, text messages, sounds, etc.

According to foreign media reports, Google is expected to release the third version of the Android 11 developer preview next month. Google will also push three beta versions of Android 11 in the next time, and the official version is expected to be officially launched in September.

As Google’s own flagship, the Pixel series will be one of the first models to support Android 11.
