Basic format of college self-recommendation letter
1. Title The title is the symbol and title of the cover letter, and it must be eye-catching, concise, and elegant. Use a larger font to mark the words "self-recommendation letter" at the top of the paper, which looks generous and beautiful.
2. Salutation This is a call to the sending unit or recipient. If the employer is clear, you can directly write the name of the unit, modify it with "respected" in the front, and then start with the leadership position or the collective name "leader". If the employer is not clear, use the collective title "respected leader of your organization (company or school)". It is best not to directly use the title of the highest leadership position. This will easily arouse the resentment of the first reader, but will not achieve the purpose.
3. The main body of the cover letter is the core of the cover letter, and the opening sentence should express greetings to the other party. The main part generally includes five contents: introduction, purpose of self-recommendation, condition display, wishes and determination, and conclusion.
4. Attachments The attachments to the self-recommendation letter mainly include personal resume, certificates and copies of articles, and materials that require appendices, which can also be listed one by one as attachments.
5. The signature should be written "Self-recommended person ×××" in the signature area, and the year, month and day should be marked in standard font. The accompanying text should indicate the contact information, postal code, address, mailbox number, telephone number and pager number of the reply letter. If a copy is printed, a blank space should be left for the signature to be signed by the job seeker in person to show solemnity and respect.
Precautions for college self-recommendation letters
The writing style is natural: use concise and popular language, keep the sentence structure as simple as possible, and don’t make it difficult to speak for the sake of novelty and difference.
Be specific and straight to the point: The purpose of the cover letter is to leave a good impression on the HR manager and make him/her read further into the lengthy resume.
Avoid cliches: Writing a cover letter should not fall into clichés. It is better to add less words like "I am very popular".
Be confident but not arrogant: don’t deny yourself and don’t be too humble.
Be polite and professional: Maybe in front of your friends, you are a natural comedian; in front of the HR manager, distance and respect are the best ways to get along.
