Volunteer resume notes
1. According to the specific job requirements, explore your own matching abilities. For example: your past volunteer experience and what skills you have.
2. Previous volunteer experience. If this is your first time, you can write about some of the work you have done for free, such as what work you did for the school/XX organization during college.
3. Highlight communication skills and teamwork skills. General volunteer work requires communication and teamwork. Highlight yourself in this convenient special session.
4. Be concise. Since it is a resume, don’t be too wordy. As long as the core competencies can be highlighted, it will be OK. Other content that has nothing to do with volunteers is okay if possible. For example: If Bill Gates is applying for a public welfare position, writing "Founder of Microsoft" on his resume is not very helpful, but writing "Co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation" on his resume will not help. That’s a plus.
5. Some other principles, such as: the format is simple and not fancy, there are no typos, etc.
