When you open eMule, the "Setup Wizard" window will pop up automatically when you run it for the first time. If it does not pop up, you can open it by clicking "Tools" and selecting "emule First Run Wizard".

When the wizard opens, click Next to continue.

Fill in a personalized username so that others can see and remember you! You can fill in the username casually, and it is not recommended to use the default one. Special reminder, do not use [CHN] or [VeryCD] as the username prefix. Check the second "Recommended" item as shown in the picture.

Click Next to continue. The port is randomly generated and may be different from the one in the picture. There is no deliberate modification, let alone modification to 4660 or the like, to avoid being blocked in special network environments. If using a router, click "Enable upnp port mapping" (you need to use the router to enable the uPNP option). After the mapping is successful, you can continue.

Click Next and check both items. After being turned on, eMule can intelligently determine the demand for files.

Finally, check them all and you’re done.
