eMule Beginner’s Operation Guide

When you run eMule for the first time, the setup wizard dialog box will pop up. Click Next to enter the user name setting.

Next step is to enter the default save directory settings.

It is recommended not to set the default save directory on the system disk. Click Next to enter the connection type settings

Click the Next and Finish buttons to end the setup.

Tip: If the operating system you are using is Windows XP, a dialog box may pop up suggesting that you modify the number of half-open connections in the system to obtain faster transfer speeds. It is recommended to select Yes to make eMule downloads faster.

Use eDonkey to download files

Wait a moment for the built-in browser to load the resource page

Next, the Add Task dialog box will pop up.

At this point the interface will automatically switch to the download tab.

Tip: The tool buttons will respond dynamically according to the task status, where white buttons indicate available and gray buttons indicate temporarily unavailable. eDonkey will pop up a prompt box on the right side of the system taskbar when the new task and task download are completed.
