1. Safe mode:

2. Safe mode with network connection

3. Safe mode with command line prompt

It is also similar to safe mode, using only basic files and drivers to start Windows XP. However, after logging in, a command prompt appears on the screen instead of the Windows desktop. This use requires a certain understanding of DOS commands.

4. Enable startup logs

Entering this item into the system will automatically generate a startup log for administrators to view. Enabling startup logging will record the detailed process of machine startup. So that when the machine starts abnormally, the fault can be analyzed based on the basis.

5. Enable VGA mode

Use the most basic VGA driver to enter the system, which is suitable for situations where the graphics card driver is installed incorrectly and the screen does not display due to resolution overclocking. Resolution overclocking has special effects. We can reset the correct resolution by entering this item. Normal mode will inherit this setting.

6. Last known correct configuration

This item will perform a rollback operation if the system is operated in normal mode and the system starts illegally due to software installation. Generally, this item can be used to solve minor startup problems.

7. Directory Service Recovery Model

This item is for the Windows XP Server operating system, not applicable to Windows XP Professional. This item is only used to restore the Sysvol directory and Active Directory directory services on the domain controller.

8. Adjustment mode
