fcitx Chinese input method

Before the Linux version of Sogou Input Method came out, I believe that most Linux users used the fcitx Chinese input method. The fcitx Chinese input method includes Wubi, Wubi Pinyin, Erbi, Pinyin (Quanpin and Shuangpin) and other input methods. It is simple and practical. , easy to install

Installation instructions

In fact, there are detailed instructions on the Internet, but I feel it is very confusing, so I will write down some of my experiences here. Mine is UBUNTU. If it is in other environments, the configuration should be similar except for the installation method.

Note: The FCITX configuration files with UTF8 characters are all under: /usr/share/fcitx/data/

Install:

OK, after completing the settings, it is best to restart X, and the input method will take effect.

Enable fcitx new configuration:

After fcitx modifies the configuration file, there is no need to restart X or kill before loading. When the input method is activated, just press Ctrl+5 to load the new configuration file.

Lock input method:

There is a small lock diagram on the panel of the fcitx input method. When you click it to turn it red, you will not be able to switch to other input methods through ctrl+shift. When you click it to turn it gray, you can switch between input methods. , for users with a single input method, they can avoid the trouble of accidentally pressing ctrl+shift.

If there are garbled characters (small boxes) in the input method, please configure Chinese fonts (please use fc-list to check which fonts have been installed on your machine first). The latest rfcitx configuration file is at:
