Zhongchen Kejian Steel Component Weight Calculation Platform Software Description

1.2 Purpose of writing

Develop a fully functional and easy-to-operate steel component unit weight calculation program that can meet the unit weight calculation needs of different types and specifications of steel components, improve calculation accuracy and efficiency, and provide a friendly user interface and operating experience.

1.3 Program composition

This calculation program consists of three parts: type selection, section input and result output. The command buttons are divided into two items: "calculate" and "exit".

1.4 Reference basis

Weight calculation formula: unit weight = cross-sectional area x steel density (7850 kg/m³), refer to relevant standards "Steel Structure Design Standards" GB50017-2017, "Technical Specifications for Cold-Formed Thin-Walled Steel Structures" GB 50018-2002, "Hot-rolled H-shaped steel and split T-shaped steel" GB/T 11263-2017, "Hot-rolled Steel" GB/T 706-2016 data.

2.1 Instructions for use

This calculation program does not require installation, just open it and run it. Click on the steel component type as needed, then enter the cross-section information (or drop-down selection), click the "Calculate" button, and the calculation results will automatically appear; for hot-rolled H-shaped steel, angle steel and other hot-rolled steel sections, just click the black triangle to confirm and the results will be automatically displayed; C-shaped steel and Z-shaped steel respectively provide two different unit weight results, one is the formula calculation result, and the other is the data in the appendix of the national standard GB50018-2002. The results of the two are close, and it is up to the user to choose. The calculation results are not saved. Clicking the "Calculate" button again will automatically overwrite the verification results.

After selecting the type, enter the section parameters according to the text box, such as H-shaped section, enter respectively: section height, flange width, web thickness, and flange thickness.

(1) Unit weight: that is, the theoretical weight of the steel component, the unit is kg/m;

(2) Unit surface area: that is, the perimeter of the outer surface of the steel component, the unit is m2/m;

3.1Program advantages
