The first time you start SpeedFan, SpeedFan will automatically detect the computer's hardware. This process takes about 1 minute.

There are three things you need to pay attention to when using SpeedFan: automatic adjustment of fan speed; several temperature indicators; manual adjustment of fan speed.

What does S.M.A.R.T mean? It turns out that this is just a technical term for a hard drive, the full name is: "Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology", which means it can automatically detect the operation of the hard drive's heads, platters, motors, and circuits. Generally speaking, today's hard drives support this function, so you can get these parameters of our hard drives through the S.M.A.R.T function provided by SpeedFan.

Temperatures 1, 2, and 3 in the figure below refer to the temperatures of the motherboard, CPU graphics card, and hard disk.

The temperature name should be clear:

System: translated as system, usually we can understand it as the internal temperature of the host or the temperature of the motherboard;

CPU: is the temperature of the CPU;

AUX: After searching online, it turns out that this is just an expansion test, which is equivalent to the PCI expansion slot on the motherboard and has no practical use.

HD0: The temperature of the hard disk. The following 0 represents the number of hard disks. If there are multiple hard disks, HDN will be displayed.
