3DMark 11The biggest selling point is the use of the native DirectX 11 engine, which uses a large number of new DX11 features including Tessellation, Compute Shader and multi-threading in the test scene.

Features

Offline score management
By default 3DMark 11 submits and stores benchmark results online on the 3DMark website. If you have the premium version of 3DMark 11, you can also choose to save the results file to your hard drive or another local offline location.
base cycle
The baseline allowed by this setting repeatedly defines the number of users in an epoch. Benchmark loops are an effective way to test system stability after component upgrades or overclocking.
Demo loop
This setup allows to set up audio-visual presentation loops indefinitely for display or trade show purposes. The demo loop is unique to 3DMark 11 Pro.
Image quality tools
This tool can render pixel-perfect images from any point in a testing process or audio-visual presentation. Using these images you can compare the differences between different settings, drivers or hardware. Image quality tools are only available in 3DMark 11 Professional.
Command line automation
This feature, which is only available in 3DMark 11 Professional Edition, allows the configuration and automation of benchmarks using scripts to run from the command line.
3DMark score
Benchmark presets provide a convenient way to scale up benchmark workloads to provide hardware-level relevant results. These pre-selected combinations of settings represent successively more advanced levels of visual quality. When running the 3DMark 11 benchmark of one of the selected presets, the preset's score is generated. The way 3DMark scores are calculated is different, the scores are not comparable across different presets, meaning each preset.
Enter preset
This preset is designed for low-level load benchmarks on graphics cards. The benchmark runs at a resolution of 1024×600, making it suitable for most DirectX 11 capable systems, including laptops and netbooks.
Performance presets
This preset is designed with benchmarks in mind for medium loads on graphics cards. The benchmark runs at 1280x720 (720P), which works with most DirectX 11 games
Extreme default
This preset is designed for a very heavy load benchmark on the graphics card. The benchmark runs at 1920×1080 (1080). While this setup would probably bring many computers to their knees today, it represents the load high-end gaming is likely to see in the next few years. This preset is especially suitable for high-end gaming PCs.
Custom preset
Benchmarks can be run with custom settings. When it runs at a resolution larger than the 16:9 aspect ratio, it renders 16:9 letterboxed.

1. Improvement
— Keyboard focus is no longer checked during DEMO demonstrations and loop tests, reducing the chance of unexpected termination. Note: If you switch to the desktop due to a pop-up window, 3DMark 11 will still terminate because the display mode has changed.
— The last customized resolution can be remembered.
— Able to correctly identify the number of GPUs in a multi-GPU system, even when the SystemInfo system information module is completely closed.
— Prevents Windows from going to sleep during testing.
— When reinstalling 3DMark 11, the serial number will be reset and needs to be entered again. This is to facilitate deletion of expired serial numbers.
2. Compatibility
— SystemInfo module updated to 4.15, fully compatible with Windows 8.
— Updated DirectX redistributable package.
— Now uses static Visual C++ 2010 runtime libraries to fix rare installation errors on some systems.
— Removed dependence on EvaDotNet.dll and EvaDotNet.DirectX.dll dynamic link library files during GPU enumeration to correct compatibility issues on some systems.
3. Bug fixes
— Fix the display initial code and solve the "SetFullscreenState failed: DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE" error message on some systems.
— Fixed some memory and texture leak bugs and improved stability during long loop tests.
— If a single test takes more than 10 minutes, the HUD timer will no longer roll over. This mainly happens when running comprehensive tests on some low-end DX11 graphics cards.
4. Professional version update
— Fixed an error when submitting saved files to the 3dmark.com official website from the command line.
— Image quality tools no longer prompt unexpected errors if the output directory does not exist.
