uTorrent For Mac

The Windows version of uTorrent (μTorrent, official website) has been released for five years. Recently, the development team announced that it will release a Linux version of uTorrent. It is generally believed that high user demand is the main reason why the team plans to develop a native Linux version this summer. The Windows version of uTorrent was first publicly released in September 2005 and quickly became the most widely used BitTorrent software. More than 50 million people use uTorrent every month, and this number will continue to increase along with BT's growing user base.

Mac and Linux users also continue to request the development team to develop client versions for these two platforms. In 2006, when uTorrent was sold to BitTorrent Inc. and became the official BitTorrent client, the company announced that a Mac version would be released. But it took two years, in 2008, before the beta test version was released to the public.
