Ubuntu developer Martin Wimpress has open sourced a tool called Rolling Rhino that can convert Ubuntu into a rolling release. It can convert the Ubuntu daily build image into a rolling release devel by selecting and tracking a series of changes/packages.
Rolling updates will be less troublesome for Ubuntu developers who want to install Ubuntu once and track all development updates, while automatically tracking subsequent series, and can experience new features faster.

Rolling Rhino usage
Install Ubuntu Desktop from a daily mirror:
Ubuntu Desktop Daily Build
Kubuntu Daily Build
Lubuntu Daily Build
Ubuntu Budgie Daily Build
Ubuntu Kylin Daily Build
Ubuntu MATE Daily Build
Ubuntu Studio Daily Build
Xubuntu Daily Build
Boot the new installation and use rolling-rhino to convert it to a rolling version.

It will output something like this:

The author also introduced the directions for future improvements:
Detects that the system is running the Ubuntu development branch.
Detect desktop meta packages.
Detect PPAs.
Detect sources.list devel is not tracked yet.
