Samsung has started Android 11 testing: Galaxy S10+ is the first to try it out

Author: Internet Date: 2020-02-27

Last week, Google released the first version of Android 11 developer preview system, which can be used by Pixel 2 to 5 generation devices. Among the brands, Essential PH-1, Poco X2, etc. have also promised to be upgraded.

After checking, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ with model number SM-G975F appeared in Geekbench 5.1, which is already running on the Android 11 R system.

This proves that Samsung has begun testing the Android 11 R system for older mobile phones, which may eventually arrive in the form of One UI 2.5/3.0.

However, Android 11 is still in an early development stage, and it will at least go through the iterations of DP2, DP3, and Beta 1/Beta 2 before it can become official, which will be in the third quarter.

In addition, judging from the release time of the stable version of One UI 2 (Android 10), Samsung's Android 11 may be scheduled to be pushed out one after another in January next year, and the S9/Note9 generation devices may not have the opportunity to upgrade.

Judging from Android 11 DP, Google has further improved basic functions such as permission management, notification messages, and background programs, and added new functions such as screenshots, range storage, and frame rate display.
