The automatic white balance function can automatically correct photos with a slight color cast, and the effect is relatively good. For example, photos taken in automatic mode during the day and images scanned with a scanner can be corrected using the "auto white balance" function.

One thing that needs to be explained here is that the automatic white balance function performs histogram analysis based on the original information of the photo, and performs intelligent corrections on this basis. 2. One-finger white balance key

Many digital cameras provide one-finger white balance buttons for customizing white balance, so I designed a later digital "one-finger white balance button" based on the principles of the camera.

"White Balance One-Finger" requires users to manually point to a colorless object in a photo. What does "no color" mean? That means white, gray, and black. As long as the user clicks the mouse on the photo, the software will understand the color cast of the photo and perform color correction. For example, in the example below, the wall behind the portrait should be white, which is a good reference.

3. Correction of serious white balance errors

Oh, this function is a newly added function after version 0.19. Exclusive secret technique, very powerful!

"Severe white balance error correction" is specially designed to deal with photos with relatively serious color casts. In many cases, the white balance of a photo may be unsatisfactory, such as shooting under tungsten lights, stage lighting, or indoor shooting with a DSLR. Sometimes the shooting is in a hurry and there is no time to customize the white balance, so don’t do it. As a result, the color of the photo is seriously cast and it is difficult to save it.

In fact, in photos with severe color casts, some colors have seriously overflowed. It is difficult to save using traditional methods. But don’t worry, you can try the “severe white balance error correction” using Light and Shadow Magic, which will definitely give you a surprise. Let's look at a few examples. These examples are all found randomly on the Internet. Basically, more than 90% of the photo processing results are very good. Please rest assured that after extensive testing, this situation is rare. But there are indeed some photos with very complicated lighting conditions, and the "serious white balance error correction" cannot be effectively corrected. At this time, we remind you to use a two-pronged approach: first use "serious white balance error correction", and then use "white balance one-finger key" for manual correction!
