​ ​ 1. The King of Fighters 97 Unlimited Energy Edition is a modified version of 97. In the character selection, you can directly choose six hidden characters: Orochi, Rage Yagami, Rage Liana, Seven Shackles Society of the Dry Earth, Chris of Fire, and Charmi of Arakudaimi Hikari (Orochi can choose between the two characters Iori Yagami and Shingo Yabuki).

​ 2. This version weakens Orochi's attack power very much. A kick to the enemy only takes away 3 mm of HP (blood). The moves of Yagami An and Kusanagi Kyo have been greatly strengthened. For example, Yagami A's super kill button is lightly pressed. The hand-less killer starts with a flash, but rushes out with one shot. The same goes for Kusanagi Kyo's super-large snake. He presses his hand lightly and shoots out directly. The speed is much faster than the original King of Fighters 97, and the attack power is stronger than the original one.

3. It has been changed to infinite energy. The strongest character is no longer Orochi, but Kyo Kusanagi. The last hit of Kyo Kusanagi's special move Mu Shiki (press the punch button, which is the C key) in the non-explosive state can break through the enemy's defense. Team VS Computer: Players can choose any three team members to fight against the computer, constantly challenge each team, and become the king of fighting.

Single player VS computer: The player chooses a King of Fighters character to challenge all the characters in King of Fighters 97.

Solo VS Solo: Players and friends can each choose one team member to duel with each other.

In the PS version, you can recruit all five hidden characters by pressing L1 and R1 at the same time on the character selection interface.

Note: Except for the PS version, if you choose the above hidden characters on other platforms, you must hold down START and enter the command to select.

​​Choose the final boss——Orochi

SS version: In Practice mode, first call out all the five hidden characters mentioned above, then press and hold the B+Y+Z+L+R keys. After a while, you will be able to select the big snake.

PS version: In vs mode or practice mode, first press L1+R1 to call out all hidden characters, then press L2+R2. If successful, the big snake will appear.

Note: PS version of The King of Fighters 97 has no time limit for selection.

   The favorability between characters

This is an interesting new ambush in 97. When selecting a character or arranging the order of appearance of characters, after selecting a character, press the C key on other people’s avatars to view it (SS is the X key, PS is the ? key)

Yellow (smile): The next contestant can not only inherit the energy beads left by the former, but also get an extra one

White (normal): The next player to appear can inherit the energy beads left by the former, but cannot get an additional one.

The probability of the rescuer coming to the rescue is: yellow 100%, white 50%, red 0%

Use the advanced operation mode in survival mode and call out all the hidden characters in the character selection interface. Then use the A key to select Shingo (the PS version is the ○ key), and then you will find that the computer's Shingo (the first one to appear in survival mode) is the same color as your Shingo

Watch cutscenes at any time
