Microsoft has officially pushed version 85.0.564.18 of the Edege browser to the Beta channel. This update includes support for local synchronization of favorites and settings, IE mode update, new PDF highlighter tool, support for Storage Access API, OneNote integration, developer tool DevTools update, etc.

Local synchronization of favorites and settings: No Internet connection required, settings and favorites content are synchronized only through local configuration.

Internet Explorer mode update: Support for trusted site + application combinations (such as Microsoft 365) to be opened without asking (can be launched without confirmation).

PDF Highlighter Tool: You can add this tool to your PDF's toolbar to highlight important content.

Storage Access API available: Clarified how third-party embedded content requests access to first-party cookies to ensure user privacy.

Send to OneNote: Supports sending content in your “Favorites” to OneNote.

DevTools update: Support for Surface Duo emulation, keyboard shortcuts matched to VS Code.
