MSDE2000 database installation method:

After decompression, open "SETUP.EXE" directly to install.

MSOFFICEXP: Open the CD, root directory: MSDE2000, and run setup.exe.

MSOFFICE2003: Open the CD, directory: OFFICE11MSDE2000MSDE2KS3.EXE, click MSDE2KS3.EXE, and run. MSDE2KS3.EXE can run under Win98/2000Pro/XP.

If when installing MSDE2000, it prompts "For security reasons, a strong SA password is required."

There are two solutions at this time:

First, enter the installation directory of msde at the command prompt, and then type,

setup.exeSAPWD="YOURCOMPUTERPASSWORD"

That's it. At this time, your SA password is associated with the system password. After entering the system, you don't need a password to use msde, and then double-click to install.

The second is to modify the setup.ini configuration file in the msde installation directory, open it with Notepad, modify it to look like below and save it,

The "123" after SAPWD is your sa password. You can also modify it to your liking and then double-click to install it.
