With the business guidance provided by the Institute of Language and Character Applications of the Ministry of Education, Chinese Language Publishing House and Tencent Games jointly developed the public welfare game "Putonghua Town" with the theme of promoting Mandarin and will be launched on all platforms on November 5.

"Mandarin Town" takes the Mandarin learning textbook "1000 Mandarin Sentences" from Chinese Language Publishing House as the core content and "town development" as the gameplay carrier. The game designs levels based on scenes in life, work, and study, and unlocks them through learning results. The level-based mechanism helps users improve their Mandarin skills step by step.

The game "Mandarin Town" has built-in voice evaluation technology from Tencent AI Lab Speech Recognition Center, which supports gamified fuzzy scoring and precise Mandarin proficiency scoring.
