Debian 10.4 has been released, the fourth stable update to Debian 10. This release provides stable package updates with a focus on security fixes and other general bug fixes.

A specific security vulnerability in libssh is fixed in the new version. Both libssh versions before 0.8.9 and 0.9.4 are affected. This vulnerability can cause a complete crash of the client or server if the connection is not fully initialized and the system attempts to clean up.

The gplaycli package for the command-line Google Play downloader has also been removed due to changes in the Google API that caused Debian 10.4 to remove it. Due to API changes, Getlive, which was used to extract emails from Hotmail accounts, has also been removed in this version. Other dropped software include kernelloops, libmicrodns, libperlspeak-perl, torbirdy, ugene and Yahoo2Mbox.
