Windows XP Service Pack 3

Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)It is a patch package for Windows xp system integration. The SP3 patch can fix installation vulnerabilities in XP systems. With the SP3 patch software, you can improve your computer's immunity to viruses and make browsing websites safer.

On April 8, 2014, Microsoft terminated technical support for the system and recommended that users who still use the XP system update their computer systems as soon as possible.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 installation requirements

      1. Before you start installing Windows XP SP3, make sure your computer meets the following prerequisites:

If you download the Windows XP SP3 patch from Wesoft, your computer hard drive must have at least 1,500 MB of free space.

If you download the SP3 patch from a shared network folder, there will be approximately 1,100 MB of free space.

If you are installing the SP3 patch from the CD, there is approximately 1,765 MB of free space.

      2. Windows XP SP3 cannot be installed if the following updates are installed on the computer:

Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) 6.0 MUI Pack (Windows XP Update 925877)

         If one or both updates are installed on your computer, remove these updates before installing Windows XP SP3. To uninstall these updates, follow these steps:

Click Start, then click Run.

​ ​ In the Open box, type appwiz.cpl.

Click on Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit or Remote Desktop Connection.

      3. If a third-party wireless network adapter is used, please ensure that the device is supported.

If you have a third-party wireless network adapter, make sure that the device is supported by Windows XP SP3 or that the manufacturer of your wireless network adapter provides a new driver that supports Windows XP SP3 before you perform the installation.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 installation steps

      1. CD installation (recommended)

Preparation before installation:

Please use the burning software and select the image burning method to burn the ISO file. Please verify the accuracy of the file before burning. The burning speed is recommended to be 24X! Please pay attention to backing up important data on the hard disk. Before installation, please confirm whether the hard disk requires partitioning. If not, you can directly perform the installation part.

      2. Hard disk installation (suitable for users who don’t have a CD-ROM drive, don’t want to waste CDs, or want to reinstall the system directly under the original system conditions, but you need to have a usable Windows system)

Please extract "WINXPSP3.GHO" and "GHO Image Installer.EXE" in the ISO to your non-system partition, then run "GHO Image Installer.EXE", press Enter directly to confirm the restore operation, and confirm again to perform the automatic installation operation. (Be sure to back up important data on drive C before executing!)
