BlackBerry refers to a wireless handheld email processing terminal device launched by the Canadian company Research In Motion Ltd. The BlackBerry, as it is commonly known, is the Push Mail real-time email service launched by the Canadian company RIM, which includes servers, software and terminals. On December 7, 2009, BlackBerry mobile phone manufacturer Canada's RIM Corporation and Digital China signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing. Digital China will distribute BlackBerry smartphones in China. At the end of April 2011, China Unicom accelerated its internal testing of BlackBerry BIS and BBM services and began to push OTA basic SB services. On October 28, 2016, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry said it would stop developing smartphones internally and turn its focus to software partnerships, highlighting the company's difficulty in turning around its mobile phone business.
