Logistics Information System Zone

Logistics information system: refers to an interactive system composed of personnel, equipment and procedures that provides information for logistics managers to perform planning, implementation, control and other functions. It is a subsystem of the logistics system like the logistics operating system. The so-called logistics information system is actually the product of the combination of logistics management software and information network. It can be as small as a specific logistics management software or as large as a system that uses the global Internet to connect all relevant partners and supply chain members to provide logistics information services. They are all called logistics information systems. For an enterprise, the logistics information system does not exist independently, but is a part of the enterprise information system, or a subsystem thereof, even for an enterprise specializing in logistics services. For example, an enterprise's ERP system and logistics management information system are one of its subsystems.
