Supervision code area

In response to the proposal of the regulatory code, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China decided to implement electronic supervision of key products that are included in the management of industrial product production licenses and compulsory product certification (CCC) in the "Notice on Implementing Electronic Supervision of Product Quality in the Implementation of the Special Provisions of the State Council on Strengthening the Supervision and Administration of Safety of Food and Other Products" (National Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Federation). Sixty-nine key products in 9 categories, including food, household appliances, artificial panels, wires and cables, agricultural supplies, gas appliances, and cosmetics, will be fully electronically supervised by the end of June 2008, and all products must be affixed with electronic supervision codes before they can be put on the market.
