CNKI is the concept of national knowledge infrastructure. The CNKI project is an information construction project aimed at realizing the dissemination, sharing and value-added utilization of knowledge resources throughout society. It was initiated by Tsinghua University and Tsinghua Tongfang and was founded in June 1999. With the strong support of the party and state leaders as well as the Ministry of Education, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the General Administration of Press and Publication, the National Copyright Administration, and the National Development and Reform Commission, in the academic, educational, publishing, library and information circles and other sectors of society across the country, In close cooperation with Tsinghua University, under the direct leadership of Tsinghua University, CNKI Engineering Group has built the "CNKI Digital Library" with the largest amount of full-text information in the world after years of hard work and using independently developed and internationally leading digital library technology.
