CNKI E-Study is a powerful digital learning and research platform. CNKI E-Study was originally called E-Learning and has a good and strong reputation in the industry. However, after changing the name, many friends no longer recognize CNKI E-Study.

      ☆One-stop reading and management platform

Supports the classification management of multiple types of files, and supports the management and reading of major global academic achievement file formats, including CAJ, KDH, NH, PDF, TEB and other files. Added preview function for image format files and txt files. Supports converting WORD, PPT, and TXT to PDF.

      ☆In-depth study

Supports word retrieval and annotation during the learning process, including retrieval tool books, retrieval of documents, phrase translation, retrieval definitions, Google Scholar retrieval, etc.; supports comparative reading of two documents in the same window.

      ☆Take digital notes

Supports recording notes of useful information in documents, and can easily record readers’ thoughts, questions, and comments; supports multiple management methods of notes: including time periods, tags, and note stars; supports adding web content as notes.

      ☆Literature search and download

Supports CNKI Academic Database search, CNKI Scholar search, etc., and imports the retrieved literature information directly into the learning unit; based on the account information set by the user, the full text is automatically downloaded without logging in to the corresponding database system.

      ☆Support writing and typesetting

Based on the universal writing function of WORD, it provides academic paper writing tools, including: inserting citations, editing citations, editing description formats and layout formats, etc.; provides thousands of journal templates and reference style editing.

      ☆Online submission

After writing a formatted paper, the author can directly select a journal to submit, and then enter the journal's author submission system.

      ☆Browser plug-in

Supports Chrome browser and Opera browser; supports importing and downloading references from the browser to the "browser import" node of CNKI E-Study; supported websites: CNKI, VIP, Baidu Academic, Springer, Wiley, ScienceDirect.

      ☆Cloud synchronization

Supports cloud synchronization of study unit data (including bibliographic folders, bibliographies, notes and other information) and the full text of bibliographies. Log in with your CNKI personal account to synchronize learning units between PCs. Note: When old users upgrade from the stand-alone version to the cloud synchronization version, they need to manually import existing learning units.

FAQ

​ ​ 1. What should I do if the learning units are no longer available after upgrading from the stand-alone version to the cloud synchronization version?

Right-click the "Learning Unit Root Node" and select "Import Learning Unit" on the right-click menu.

​ 2. How to share data on computers at work and at home?

The old version (CNKI E-Learning) stores the learning unit file (*.cel) and the full-text folder (learning unit name_contents) to a mobile hard disk or network disk to share between different PCs; the online version requires logging in to a personal account. After successful login, click the "Sync" button to share between different PCs.

​ 3. How to import EndNote bibliographies into CNKI E-Study?

Taking Endnote X7 as an example, select one or more references to be exported in EndNote, select "Export references" on the file menu of EndNote, and check the save type in the pop-up export box.

If Endnote Export does not exist in the save type, select Select Another Style in Output style, and then select Endnote Export.

​​ 4. How to change the "highlight" color in the reading interface? Do highlights serve as notes?

Currently, "Highlight" only supports one background color; whether to highlight it as a note can be set in "Tools" -> "System Settings" -> "Note Settings".

During installation, in order to ensure data integrity, please do not set the installation path to a cloud disk or network disk path.
