Software introduction
Foxmail is an excellent domestic email client software developed by Zhang Xiaolong of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (formerly Huazhong University of Science and Technology). It was acquired by Tencent on March 16, 2005. The new Foxmail has powerful anti-spam features. It uses a variety of technologies to identify emails and can accurately identify spam and non-spam emails. Spam will be automatically sorted into the spam box, effectively reducing the interference of spam to users and minimizing the time wasted by users dealing with spam.
Digital signature and encryption features are supported in Foxmail 5.0 to ensure the authenticity and confidentiality of emails. Foxmail is an email address owned by Tencent, with the domain name "foxmail.com". Foxmail can be regarded as an alias of qq mailbox. Users of qq mailbox can set an alias of foxmail for qq mailbox in "Settings-Account".
Users can also directly apply for a foxmail account. If they have a qq account, they can log in directly and get a qq mailbox (that is, a foxmail mailbox). If they do not have a qq account, they can apply for a foxmail account for free and bind it to a system automatically generated QQ account.
When setting up the email client, the server must be set to "imap.qq.com" or "smtp.qq.com". Essentially, there is no server different from qq, but the name is different from qq mailbox.
