The first RC version of LibreOffice 7.0 has been released, and the stable version will be launched in early August. Officials said that at least two RC versions will be released before the stable version arrives.
The main task of the RC phase is to discover and fix bugs, and the official has also launched a Bug Hunting activity for this purpose.
Noteworthy updates in LibreOffice 7.0 include:
1. Use the Skia graphics library to replace the previous Cairo, which can render the UI better and faster
2. Support Vulkan rendering
3. End support for Adobe Flash
4. Improvements to DOCX/PPTX/PPT file import and export filtering, and animation rendering
5. HiDPI scaling in Qt 5
6. Added a new icon theme called Sukapura
