LibreOffice is an open source free and versatile office software that can run on operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux and macOS. It includes components such as Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, and Base, which can be used for text documents, spreadsheets, slide presentations, drawing documents, mathematical formula editing, database management, etc. respectively.
LibreOffice recently released a major version update. LibreOffice 7.0 was officially released. Its main new features include:
1. Support ODF (OpenDocument Format) 1.3;
2.Skia graphics engine and Vulkan GPU hardware acceleration bring performance improvements;
3. Improved compatibility with DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files.
