Software features
UMLet is a free and open source UML modeling tool with a simple user interface. It can quickly build UML sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc., and can export prototypes to eps, pdf, jpg, svg and other formats. We can also create custom elements under Eclipse. UMLet can be run both as an encouragement and as a plug-in for Eclipse on Windows, OS X and Linux platforms. There is not only an independent version of UMLet, but also a plug-in version for Eclipse.
Installation instructions
Install the standalone version of UMLet:
1. After unzipping, double-click UMLet.jar.
2. Create a UML in UMLet
2.1 Open UMLet, double-click the object you want to add in the upper right area (Figure 1), and the object is automatically added to the panel.
2.2 Select the object just added. In the properties panel (Figure 2) in the lower right corner, you can modify the properties of the object.
2.3 Save the created UML model diagram, or export it to other formats.
Install UMLet under Eclipse:
1. Download the com.umlet.plugin_11.4.0.jar version.
2. Copy the decompressed com.umlet.plugin_11.4.0.jar to eclipseplugins in the plugins directory under Eclipse
3. Restart Eclipse, select File → New → Other → Umlet Diagram to create a UML model.
4. The method of using UMLet in Eclipse is the same as above.
