How to use
1. Magical compression ratio
The use of the software is very simple. First, open the source image that needs to be processed. You can do it through the "Open" button, or you can drag and drop the file directly from the resource manager, and then press the F5 key. JPEG Imager will automatically follow the default Compress with the settings, as shown in Figure 1. The left window is the source image before compression, and the right window is the image after compression. From here you can see that the compression ratio is very high. If you are satisfied, you can Save the compressed image.

If you need to set the compression ratio yourself, you can adjust it through the slider at the bottom of the window. We need to find a balance between image quality and compression ratio. After locking the quality slider, you can adjust the quality and standard sliders at the same time.
Editor's Tip: Image quality and compression level cannot be achieved at the same time. It is necessary to sacrifice some quality while obtaining a high compression ratio, so please determine according to your needs.
2. Batch processing
Select the "Batch Processing→Edit" command from "File", and the dialog box shown in Figure 2 will pop up. Click the two "+" shaped buttons on the toolbar to add more files or add the entire directory. The addition is completed. Then click the button on the far right of the toolbar to start the batch wizard, as shown in Figure 3. We can switch between various options through the "Previous" and "Next" buttons. The four tabs correspond to four steps, even if you are a novice, You won't feel confused either.

After selecting the "Enable Image Processing" checkbox, we can freely define the size of the picture, set whether to enlarge it, whether to allow distortion, select negative or sharpening effects, and the available output formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, etc., and click " The "Settings" button can also be used to adjust more items, such as the brightness, chroma, filter level, output size, and encoding method of the picture. If the output is a picture in PNG or GIF format, you can also control the color and horizontal jitter; in " You can define the color of the border and blank space in the "Thumbnail" tab, and finally set the output directory and name in the "Output" tab, and you can output smoothly.
Editor's Tip: If you select "Generate HTML Index Page" in the "Complete" option, you can automatically generate an index file in HTML format, which is particularly useful for web designers.
3. Import pictures from video devices
JPEG Imager has built-in support for standard video devices. Select the "Input → Get Image from TWAIN" command from the "File" menu to import images from successfully connected digital cameras, webcams, digital camcorders and other video devices.
Editor's Tip: While compressing images, we can also quickly convert image formats. Just press the F6, F7, and F8 keys to convert between JPEG, PNG, and GIF formats.
