Function description
1. The baud rate refers to the communication speed of the modem, specifically the number of line status changes.
2. Baud rate refers to the rate of analog line signals, measured by the number of oscillations of the waveform per second. The data is not compressed and the baud rate is equal to the number of data bits transmitted per second. The data is compressed and the number of data bits transmitted per second is usually greater than the modulation rate, making the use of baud and bits/second interchangeable occasionally produce errors.
3. In the information transmission channel, the signal unit carrying data information is called a symbol, and the number of symbols transmitted through the channel per second is called the symbol transmission rate, or baud rate for short. The baud rate refers to the modulation rate of the data signal to the carrier. It is expressed by the number of times the carrier modulation state changes per unit time (that is, the number of symbols modulated per second), and its unit is baud. Baud rate is an indicator of the bandwidth of the transmission channel.
4. The amount of information transmitted through the channel per second is called the bit transmission rate, which is the number of binary bits transmitted per second, referred to as the bit rate. Bit rate represents the transmission rate of effective data, expressed in b/s, bit/s, bits/second, read: bits per second.
