
Ellipsoid surface area formula
Standard formula: S=2 times the integral of 0 to a of 2*π*cd*dx =4/3ab*π
Approximate formula: ① S=πb/(100a)(17a+3b)^2
② S=4πb(sin45°(a-b)+b)
If high accuracy is not required, the two formulas ① and ② are basically satisfied.
If higher accuracy is required, the following formula can be used,
S=πb/(100a)(16.9a+3.1b)2((a-b)/a)6/arctg((a-b)/a)6
The above formulas are all approximate formulas, and the last one contains the circle cutting formula, so the accuracy is higher.
