Don’t be afraid, in fact, Sogou browser itself already has its own automatic backup function of favorites. All we have to do is find the backup and restore it.
Sogou Browser Favorites Recovery Tool--FavoritesRecovery-SogouExplorer can help you.
To digress, it is recommended that everyone use a Sogou browser account. All favorites saved by logging in to the account are automatically saved on the server. In addition, Sogou browser favorites themselves have an automatic backup function, which basically ensures data security. Nothing is lost.
But sometimes people are unlucky and there is really nothing they can do about it. Sometimes they accidentally delete their favorites, or they operate the software incorrectly. What should they do if their favorites are lost? I would like to remind everyone, if you encounter this situation, don’t panic and rush to uninstall or reinstall the browser. Even if you need to uninstall and reinstall Sogou Browser, remember to keep the browser configuration file when uninstalling. In addition, when upgrading the browser, it is recommended to directly overwrite and install it, or when uninstalling, the browser configuration file should also be retained.
In response to requests from netizens to support QQ accounts, the tool was rewritten.
Closer to home, let’s talk about how to use FavoritesRecovery-SogouExplorer.
1. FavoritesRecovery-SogouExplorer effective conditions: The FavoritesRecovery-SogouExplorer tool currently only supports the installed version of Sogou Browser. If it is the green version of Sogou Browser, or other tools that have modified the storage path of the Sogou Browser configuration folder, this tool does not support it.
2. How to use:
1. When using Sogou browser account
(1) First log in to your account in Sogou Browser, check Automatically log in to your account when logging in, then close Sogou Browser, double-click FavoritesRecovery-Sogou Explorer to start the tool, select whether you have a Sogou Browser account, and select "I am logged in to Sogou Browser" Account"
As shown in the picture:
(2) In the opened interface, enter your Sogou Browser Pass account, which is the email address used when logging in to the browser (for example, xxx@sogou.com, xxx@qq.com, xxx@163.com, etc.).
If you log in directly with your QQ number, enter your QQ number directly. After entering the account, click "Search" (if you are a QQ account user, you also need to use your QQ account to log in to Sohu Pass)
(3) In the search result list, you can find files named like "Favorite2.dat.2012.02.26.18". The number after the file name represents the date, which represents the backup date of this file. File size generally indicates the amount of backup collection data. The backup date indicates when the data was backed up. Use the mouse to select the backup data that needs to be restored, right-click and select "Restore". Just restart Sogou Browser. If you find that it doesn't work, you can choose another favorites backup and restore it. If that still doesn't work, you can select another backup directory in the backup directory option above, search for it, and then select the backup file to restore.
Note: In general, the larger the backup file, the more content it contains. You can find the favorites backup and restore with the largest file size. You can also select favorites that need to be restored based on the backup time.
