Prime95 is a software specially designed to test system stability. It is recognized as the most cruel among all copying software. Prime95 tests the CPU's endurance by loading it with an absurdly high workload. This test has attracted much attention from gamers because it can find stability problems that other test programs cannot find. It is also used by many professional computer OEM manufacturers to determine the stability of the computer.
Prime95 and Super π are similar in that they both use continuous calculation functions to achieve the purpose of testing system stability. However, the test environment of Prime95 is very harsh. Even a system that can successfully pass 4.19 million tests in Superπ may not be able to survive a few minutes in Prime95. Many players use Prime95 to test the stability of the CPU after overclocking and use it as a basis for successful overclocking.
How to use
Double-click to open it for the first time, a dialog box will appear, then click "just stress test", then select blend (the third item), then click OK, and start running for half an hour.
If there is no problem for 1 minute, basically running simple applications such as pi will be fine.
5 minutes is no problem, you can basically pass 3dmark
No problem in 15 minutes, most test software can basically run
No problem for 30 minutes, almost enough for daily use
5-8 hours is no problem, basically all test software can pass.
On the basis of the above +0.05V voltage, slightly lowering the frequency of 20Mhz is generally a frequency that ensures stability and long-term application.
