How to use
1. handlehypertrm.dll, hticons.dll and hypertrm.exePut it in C:WindowsSystem32 of win7. In fact, you can run HyperTerminal normally at this time.
2. Put the hypertrm.chm and hypertrm.hlp help files into C: Windowshelp. The help file is optional for running the program. It is just better to have it here.
Add HyperTerminal to the attachment list: A. First find the location of the attachment list: Start->All Programs->Attachments, right-click, select Properties, and then find the location, that is, C:UsersXXXXXAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms. After opening it, enter the "Attachment" file folder, where the attachment list is located. Then for the previous hypertrm.exe, create a shortcut and put it here.
However, we cannot open the connection after we create it. After selecting the program, the following picture will appear. The solution is to open the registry and create new registration information:
To complete this process, you now need to add a new entry in the registry. Here are the steps:
①Start-->Run regedit
②After opening, find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, then right-click it and select New-->Key, a folder named "New Key #1" will be created, change it to: ht_auto_file-->New Key renamed Shell- ->Rename the new item to Open-->Rename the new item to Command. Then find the location of the HyperTerminal and add it to the key value:
Special instructions:"C:WindowsSystem32hypertrm.exe" %1 Note that there is a space before %1. Try exiting the registry to see if it can be opened. If you cannot enter the registry, see if it changes to: "C:WindowsSystem32hypertrm.exe" "%1" if you remove the double quotes of %1.
