What are security controls?
In order to improve the security of Taobao accounts and prevent account passwords from being stolen by Trojans or viruses, we solemnly launch a security control that implements SSL encryption of key data and effectively prevents Trojans from stealing keystrokes.

What will happen if the control is not installed?
If you have not installed security controls, "Use security controls to log in" will not be checked. After you actively check it, the system will automatically pop up a prompt to install the controls. Click "Install controls now" and you can use secure login after installation.
How to install security controls?
If you are using Windows XP system (sp2), IE browser will block pop-up windows. At this time, you only need to follow the steps below to install it:
Step 1: When logging in to Taobao, the IE window will display the prompt shown in the figure below. At this time, click "Click here to install".
Reminder 1: Please do not close this prompt box, otherwise you will not be able to install our plug-in normally.
Step 2: Select "Install ActiveX Control".
Reminder 2: Select and click "Install ActiveX Control". We guarantee that there is no risk to your computer by selecting this control.
Step 3: Just follow the prompts.
Reminder 3: During the installation process, please close other running programs, such as Aliwangwang/Tradelink, Kaspersky anti-virus software, 360 Safe, Antino anti-virus software, etc.
IE browser: You can choose to run or save. If you choose to save the file,
Please double-click the file to install the control.
Firefox browser: After saving the file, double-click the file to install the control.
If the system prompts you to restart your computer after the installation is complete, please restart your computer and then log in to Taobao. After logging in, you can enjoy shopping on Taobao.
The security control cannot be installed, what should I do?
If you have paid attention to the three reminders in "How to Install Security Controls", but the security control still cannot be installed successfully, there are five solutions:
Solution 1: Restore the IE browser settings to default values.
Step 1: Click "Tools" - "Internet Options" - "Security" on the browser menu bar, select the Internet zone, and check the "Default Level" button in the red box in the picture below. If it is not gray, please click the button. Otherwise, do not do anything.
Step 2: Still on the "Tools" - "Internet Options" - "Security" page on the browser menu bar, select "Local Internet/Trusted Sites/Restricted Sites" and do the above operations.
Step 3: Select "Tools" - "Internet Options" - "Advanced" tab on the browser menu bar, and click "Restore Default Settings".
Solution 2: If you are using IE8 browser, the steps are as follows.
Step 1: Please right-click "My Computer"? - "Properties" - "General", check whether the operating system is windows xp3, if so, please change to another browser.
Step 2: Click "Tools" - "Internet Options" - "Advanced" on the browser menu bar and check whether the "Enable memory protection to help reduce online attacks" option is checked. If so, please remove the check.
Solution three: If you are using Firefox/Chrome/Opera browser, please upgrade the browser to the latest version. The MAC OS X operating system currently only supports Safari browser to access Alipay.
Solution 4: Installing security controls requires administrator rights. Please confirm whether the account you are using is in the Administrators group. In addition, you need to ensure that the account you are logged in to has write permissions to the hard disk system directory (Windows) in the NTFS partition format.
